Great thoughts Studio...I didn't know that Target honor's competitors. They also have their own store coupons that can be combine in a manufacturer coupon. I love Target as well...although it's a 45 min drive to get to one for me now so I rarely get to go.

I had no idea until yesterday that Target will honor competitor coupons & discounts/sales. Bring in a circular, or print out the web page of the lower-priced item and Target will honor it. Another reason to love Target.

Sign up for line newsletters with your favorite suppliers and buy big when their biggest sales are on. Always be watchful for the discounts. I have a local friend who also makes jewelry and we order together to get volume discounts and share shipping expenses. This has saved both of us a lot of $$$. At home I take time to review the local flyers for discounts on items I am looking for. Thrift shops can be amazing too.

I reuse cut off ends of hand dyed cord to make the design )strata( series of bracelets. Having a basket of colorful tangled cords is an odd but effective way to get ideas about color combinations. One other secret: I use waxed dental floss to assemble all these pieces. It's cheap, available, and very strong. The wax coating makes knotting the ends simple and secure.

Thanks for joining Lara, Julie, Jennie, and Nancy. I really hope we can all help each other out. While, I can't help very much in the area of crafts, (I just catch sales on yarn and stock up..lol) but I can help in the areas of groceries, home, health, and beauty products. What type of things would you all like to see?

Also, I just thought of something...you might want to check out the freecycle for your area, I am on ours and I regularly see people offering bags of fabric and such.
