My Craft Corner

Hi all- Do you have a Facebook fan page for your business? If so, how do you use it to get new business? Is it successful? Personally, I have had a fan page for about 3 months or so and I am finding that I do get some business from there (currently have about 139 fans - 2/3 are people I know and 1/3 are people I don't know) but I need to think of ways to use it more effectivley. I tried having a "giveaway" to increase my fan base and that did work some. (I posted the giveaway on my main FB profile as well as tweeting about it on Twitter and that got me some increase in fans.) I think there is great promise here and would love to hear how others use their FB fan pages for their business. If you don't have one and want to see what they are like you can check mine out at http://facebook.com/bagalicious .

I have a Facebook fan page for my Etsy shop. I started out with one fan (me), then my father-in-law stepped up (he's great), then I participated in a share exchange on the Etsy forums. Currently I have about 70 fans. I have only posted my new items or made albums, I chat about what's going on in my knitting world (e.g., when I am teaching class).
I do get a few referrals from FB, but I have yet to try marketing a little more aggressively on it.
I find you should treat others as you would want to be treated - fan others and leave comments. Involve yourself with the FB community.

i get a great response with my FB page. I also use twitter. I think I rely more heavily on my blog to do my marketing.

I have had one for about one month. So far, most of the people who follow me choose to do so through Twitter, rather than FaceBook.

I would love to secure a username, but I need 17 MORE FANS!!! Please fan me, and I will do the same for you!

Hi all - I just "fanned" everyone's pages, although I could not find "JustATish" in FB. What's your FB name, JustATish? My FB page is http://facebook.com/bagalicious in case anyone wants to "fan" mine. :-)

Have a great day, everyone!

Serendipity, i really like your facebook secret sale. Very neat idea, and good way to make your fans feel special. I've been wondering what I could do to keep the fb page fresh, besides posting new shop items of course.

Not sure if my reply worked before, but I'm fanning everyone in the discussion. You can see my facebook page here.

Hi everyone! I have a facebook page and have gotten some fans. I want to think of some more ways to promote it as well. I think discounts and giveaways are a great idea.

You know, I tried to make a Fan page and never accomplished it. I made a page but it is hard for even me to find it and I don't think it's really a fan page.
