As a family we have a 50 year track record of making decorations and accesssories with knotwork, but having a tough time translating it to the online world.
I'm having really good luck with Twitter, I also find that having our web address in the bottom of every forum we frequent helps a lot. While my wife goes to the tropical sail daydream sites to talk about that, I go to my boating, sailing, and other sites and join those conversations. Natural curiousity draws them to our site. The 'trick' is to be genuinely interested in the conversations you participate in. Word of mouth spreads quickly if you share common ground.
