Win a custom etsy shop makeover! A fundraiser for Dillon

First of all I would like to start this post off by thanking Reggie for giving me special permission to post this discussion. Reggie is a total sweetheart and is allowing me to tell you about a very special fundraiser my husband and I have been working on.

I have a 10 year old handicap brother who is currently in the hospital. He had some major surgery this past Tuesday morning on his colon. They removed a portion of it and put him on a colostomy bag. My family has been up in Reno for a week now and they aren't sure how long they are going to be staying there.

Since my family is very tight on money right now, to help out with my Brother and paying for a place to stay for my family at the Ronald McDonald House we're holding a raffle for an Etsy shop makeover. We're selling tickets through mine and my husbands shop, Angelic Touch Designs, and 100% of the proceeds from the tickets are going to Dillon! We're holding the raffle on September 10th in the evening and the first place prize will win a custom etsy shop makeover! We'll also be awarding a second prize for a custom banner and avatar.

I'm doing what I can to help by including a $5 donation for additional points in our Gift Giveaway for the Holidays, an awesome collection of items (worth hundreds of dollars) chosen from each of the Featured Crafters! I didn't put anything in the message to seller but I really don't care much about the gift giveaway (although it is a great idea and I love a gift and a giveaway as much as the next person) but I just want to do what I can to help Dillon and his family out. Wish I could do more. I challenge every My Craft Corner member to make a donation to this cause! Give whatever you can - every little bit helps. And that positive Karma will come back to you magnified so give from your heart.

I donated to your fund and I really hope that it helps to raise money to help out your parents. Medical bills/healthcare/etc are so outrageous in this country, I can completely sympathize with them.

People please donate to this worthy cause!

Even if you can't donate $5 (or more), $1 CAN make a difference. Enough people donate $1 and it really starts to add up.

I'm going to blog about this (for tomorrow's post and hopefully it'll even send more people your way...since I'll be posting it on my personal & fan facebook pages)!

I also did not leave a comment as I read this after I skipped straight ahead to the donation page! No worries though! It's really about Dillon isn't it? Jennie will be keeping track of who donates so everyone will get their holiday Giveaway points! I just thought it would be easier for her if there was a code word so she'd know right away when a member donated.

Everyone involved and in this community are such good hearted amazing people and I will be with involved in this community for a very long time! I love this website!

This morning my mother left me a message and she was really down. There is a possibility the surgery might not have worked, and possibly made it more difficult then before. Right now I'm still in la la land from all the news of everything so I wont go into much more detail, but I'll write a blog by tonight explaining more of what the doctor said.

You guys don't know the extent of the blessing you have given my family. When I told my mom about what this awesome community has done no words came out and she broke down crying her eyes out.
