My Craft Corner

Let's All Tweet together and promote My Crafter Corner!!

I've seen how twitter can work for your craft business and I know if we promote MCC as much as possible we can we would be able to expand the community greatly! I think we should start putting #MCC in our tweets and/or retweeting other community members when possible. Any thoughts?

I agree completely! Someone else mentioned using hashtags I think.. I dont remember.. I dont even know what day it is :) But it's an awesome idea! I've never actually used a hash tag and have no clue what they do but I see it used all the time, so I guess it's a good thing! :)

And my whole view of it is, if the community helps promote MCC, they are in turn, promoting themselves :)

Tweet away my friends! Plus, how awesome do people feel when they're tweets are retweeted?! Let's all share the love! Oh and for anyone else reading this forum, have you added your twitter link to the other discussion? http://www.mycraftcorner.com/forum/topics/i-am-making-a-twitter-lis...

MCC is taking all the info from that discussion and adding it to the Members Twitter Lists!

I personally have a Twitter MCC list (as I've noticed quite a few other MCCers do as well) it works out great when i'm doing some retweeting :) Oh and y'know what else I discovered the other day? You can put people on lists, but not *actually* follow them! LOL. I have a "not so crafty peep" list for people I follow that don't craft and one of them was getting SO annoying with tweeting 20 times every 5 minutes so I stopped following them. then later on, i checked that list and there they were, all their tweets still! it's cause they were still on my list! lol. Just a little tidbit for others out there who didnt know that :)

K, so I say we use the hashtag #MCC for all our tweets!

That's great! It's nice and small so it won't take up too much space! I'm a babbler so it's hard enough for me to tweet full sentences! LOL #MCC here we go!

Hi,

Question from a bit of a twitter techno idiot :)

I've just created myself an MCC list. Can I send tweets to just that group, or does it still just send to everyone you follow?

Oooh, the #MCC hashtag sounds good! I'll start doing that too! I don't have any twitter lists really. I guess I don't see the point of it? Can someone clue me in? I use TweetDeck.

I dont know Tweet Deck much, well, not at all actually lol. So i dont know how it works. But I love having lists, it makes it so much easier to go back and see what was tweeted by certain people. For example, I've got all my MCCers in a list, so if I need something to tweet about/retweet, I go there and check out what they've all been tweeting. If i wanna catch up on say, what my non-crafty-peeps like Neil Gaiman and Weird Al are doing (lol) I click on that list :) hee hee.
