My Craft Corner

I began this necklace with the intent of naming it one thing. However, once it was completed the name just did not fit. I liked the way it turned out, though, but it a nameless piece of art. So it is unfair for this poor little beauty to go without a great name for it. I think it looks kind of spring-like, and I'm loving the pendant I found with the black heart in the middle. However, it remains nameless and nothing is coming to mind. I'm seeking someone to give me a great name for it. Can anyone help me out?

So far, I have "Dreamweaver" "Gorgeous" and "Spring Garden Delight". It's been a hard little bugger to get a picture of, too, since it is so sparkly. It either comes out blurry or dark. So I hope this does it some justice. It has amber, gold, green, and charcoal seed beads crocheted into a tube with the pendant attached.

LOL I scrolled down the home page really fast and thought this discussion topic was "I need a man!" I think I'm a bit dyslexic at times..

I love this necklace. I'm horrible at names (most of my stuff is refered to as "thingy" or a "LooHoo" and don't get me started on flower names, I just make 'em up sometimes, but atleast Tanya from Flauxers has been able to help me to not look like such an idiot! hehe)

My first thoughts when I saw this necklace was a snake or serpent. That's what the design kinda reminded me of. That's all I got. But you're not gonna call it that, but maybe someone else can name it something with that as inspiration? When I can't think of a name, I think of one word descriptions or phrase and search that in another language. Like instead of my original title for my moon photo "Look it's the Moon!" I put it into french and it became "Voila, La Lune" Sounds much better, no? ;)

when i scrolled down (i have a little hp notebook) and began to see the colours of the beading, the word 'aztec' came to mind, then i saw the pendant and 'fantasy' came to mind....so how about 'aztec fantasy'....this is such a unique and beautiful piece...congrats on creating it!

I suggest "Heart of the Forest Entwined" because is looks like vines around the pendant and the colors look foresty to me (amber and gold are not spring colors, so don't think you should go there; think of deep in the heart of the forest, where it's dark).

Also recommend you change the shirt to be one of the colors in the necklace.

Loved the nicklace-how about something simple like CHARMED

When I look at this "lovely" necklace I see Italy. Beautiful colors!!! The heart in the center of the pendant represents love to me...So how about "Amore" which means "love" in Italian, giving a general translation in English "that's love".

I struggle in naming my pieces, too...so this is a great idea and clever way to get help!!!

Good luck with a name~~~~~

Ohhh...I'm really liking these. Faerie Kat, I think you may have hit right on it. It's kind of spring, with the greens, but you are right on the other colors. Deep woodsy forests and interweaving vines. Kind of fits with my whole "dreams and fairies" theme. The Aztec and Charmed are pretty awesome, too. I've had such problems with this. I usually have a name in mind when I create something. The serpent is actually what the pattern came from, a snake charmer design. But I changed the colors A LOT and jazzed up the pattern with a varying repeat. So it doesn't surprise me that serpents come to mind. I think I'll sleep on this and see what the dreams tell me. LOL.
