Business card|postcard swap?
I was thinking , as I often do, that perhaps we could organize a business card or postcard swap [if you have postcards for your shop, I have both]! I'm not sure how to get the ball rolling on this, but if anyone thinks is a neat idea, please share your opinions!

I think it's a great idea also...we could start sending our business card/postcards to new members as they join and do it that way and then all we have to do is play catch up with the current members. Send out an email asking for addys...if they give them, they get a business card...if not they don't...their choice...but this could also get expensive as far as postage...what we could also do...is take this a step further...and have a VIRTUAL business card area of the site...that way everyone that chooses to could put their information in an area of the site. If we need it we coud go there and look it up. (Got this idea from Poken the virtual business card that I'm starting to use anyway)

Some people are nervous about giving out their address and also money-wise... would it be easier if members send a number of their business cards to My Craft Corner and then we could collate them and send multiple people's cards to the participating members? Then members would only have the cost of sending 1 package of cards here when they want to... and then we would only have the cost of sending a bundle of cards to members at a defined time interval and we could get and keep the address so people wouldn't have to make them public. Thoughts?

That sounds like a good idea! I definitely have plenty, I just received my order of 250 new ones [had to change them since I split my shop into two!] Feel free to send me a message with the address & I'll get some in the mail to you!

I am so excited! I just redesigned my cards recently (the are purple and pretty) and I would love to start exchanging!
But just how many should I be sending to begin with?

I'm going to send probably 25 or so, seems like a good amount - not too few, not too many. Depends on how many people participate, I suppose!

this is a good idea I have so many business cards i bought 500 and already used more than a hundred of it. I will definitely send...My thank you note is a small one and handmade too. The thank you card is very siple no message inside for your own used.
