My Craft Corner

Hi everyone...was just wondering about adding some different items that I have in my other etsy store..but not sure if I add them in my MCC or open a second MCC.  My other items are photography and also my pen and ink prints....

my etsy is

www.splitsecondchange.etsy.com

Can anyone give some advice on this? I am thinking of moving all of my items to MCC.  Does anyone here have two shops ?  Or do you just mix it all up?

I've attached a couple of pictures...well at least making an attempt to do that...we'll see if I did it right..LOL LOL

Thank you for any advice on this.

Have an awesome evening everyone,

Cindy

Hey Cindy,

I don't know if I'm understanding you correctly, so I thought I would just clarify with you. You have one etsy shop where you are selling your photography and your ink images and your wondering if you think its ok to ad other items as well or if it would be more beneficial to make a secondary shop on etsy?

Or, are you asking if you should have two seperate mycraftcorner accounts, one for each shop that you Already have on etsy?

I think if you have two etsy shops and you're wondering if you should make two accounts for mycraftcorner then it would be more beneficial and more manageable to have only one mycraftcorner account and just mention in your profile that you run two shops on etsy.

I think having two accounts would be more difficult then its worth and since it is just a community it should be fine to have both your businesses listed in your profile. I myself have 2 etsy shops and I just incorporate both into my single profile here on MCC.

If I misunderstood you please correct me :P

I agree with Jennie. I don't have two shops, but I only sell one type of product right now. I would just keep one MCC shop and make sure that you add links to both of your etsy shops at the top of your page. Since you can't buy directly from MCC then it would be very difficult to maintain everything. Are you wondering about putting in your Mini Etsy? I know MCC only allows one widget, but you can make a widget on widgetbox that allows you to post both of your shops using clickable tabs and linking to them.

Hi Jennie,

thank you for getting back to me...yes I have two etsy shops and wasn't sure if I should have two MMC accounts. My items are all art related but different meiums....from polymer clay dolls to pen & ink sketchs and my photography. I put my ink sketches and my photography in one shop in etsy and the doll sculpts in a different shop. I just didn't want to get overwhelmed with two many open accounts and get lost in the shuffle.....So yes, you understood me and I appreciate your advice. Have a great day, Cindy

I was just browsing around and realized that you meant the ETSY mini widget ...right? I was browsing MCC for the widget...but if I understand you right, you meant the code for the widget we can create with Etsy ? Do you ever feel some days that something simple seems confusing..LOL..and then when you "get it" you feel like a great big brain DUH !!! LOL LOL LOL

Lol Cindy, Ya, it's all confusing! I get confused often but it's my own fault - I always have too much going on at once!

I also have 2 etsy shops, but one MCC page. I've put 2 etsy mini's on my MCC page, one for each shop. My main shop is Sassmowthdesigns so I have a tendancy to use that for everything. I just made photo albums for all my photos so that my different mediums are all placed together. Of course I have a bunch of randoms in there too, like me dressed up as Wierd Al lol. Ah well, gotta have a sense of humour! Either that or all this crafting is making me crazy :)

have a great day,
Cindy :-)

Hi there Im pretty new here I only have one etsy shop I sell a little of this and that. I have a total of 4 different item types I sell But I as well with you am thinking of opening a second shop just for my vintage avon decanters since I have so much. Just not sure at this point if I want to fuss with 2 etsy's. I though would just use ur one MCC page so its less stress just mention both shops and incorporate them into your MCC.

Hi Mandi,

Yeah, I decided to use just one MCC and keep 2 etsy's...its not really all that time consuming to run the 2 shops. I need to get busy and create my mini's from etsy and post them here. I think I'll do that later this afternoon. I just browsed your things, and you have beautiful jewlery :-)

Have a great day...and Congratulations on selling an item right after listing it..how exciting!!

Cindy :-)

Hello Yes been browsing user shops as well you all have such great items. Yea my shop is litterly a little of this and that. Thats what I shoulda named it or Mandi Leighs flea Market LOL. Thank you for the comment on the Jewelry. I hope it takes off soon. Ive sold a few pieces here and there. There is just so many Jewelry artisans it is really hard. Same with Candles to. Which I am currently listing. I been busy all weekend making new scents from a bunch a I ordered from a new online candle supply store. For now I will prob just keep the one still lots to list in it. When I get time Ill move to shop 2. Is my shop confusing with so many different items?

Hi Mandi,

Love the fleamarket comment..LOL LOL LOL...sounds like my yard sales..LOL LOL...
I just went back in to view your items on etsy, and no your shop is not confusing...what it is ... interesting..and makes you curious to keep looking. Actually, to me there are two ways to list....one like me..where its all about one thing or the other option ... a variety of choices. Because when we shop ..its either we are shopping for a specific item...or...we're shopping for that one unique item. Thats where your shop comes in. The unique item. :-) Your items are great, wonderful price and yes, 'unique' .

Now for me to get back to work on listing more photos... in my 'other shop'..LOL

In answer to your earlier question, yes I was talking about the clickable mini etsy. If you go to widgetbox.com, though, I believe you can get what is called a "blidget" that will allow you to put links to two different shops on it. I created one as a prize for a contest I was promoting, and it was fairly simple. I could create one for you and send you the link, if you'd like. Both of your shops, blogs, studios, whatever can be put in it. Just let me know. ;-)
